Job summary

Gilbarco Veeder-Root in the North-West Province seeks a Customer Liaison Officer to manage day-to-day government fleet interfaces under the RT46 contract. You will onboard customers, support card issuance and usage, and resolve queries while upholding contract SLAs.

You will act as the primary contact for provincial departments, ensuring accurate records, disciplined reporting, and collaboration with Transit Solutions and Bidvest Bank. Hybrid work with travel across the province is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in customer service or account liaison, ideally with government/public-sector clients.
• Understanding of the public-sector operating environment and procurement process.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship-management skills.
• Problem-solving with ability to coordinate across multiple parties (customer, operations, bank).
• Organised records-keeping with competence in CRM and standard office systems.
• Driver's license and willingness to travel within the province.
• Awareness of data protection/POPIA obligations and fraud indicators.
• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary provincial point of contact for government fleet customers under RT46.
• Onboard new customers and fleet entities: account setup, card issuance coordination, user training.
• Manage end-to-end customer service cycle: queries, card requests, replacements, activations, deactivations and disputes.
• Liaise between customers, Transit Solutions operations and Bidvest Bank to resolve issues within SLA.
• Monitor card usage and flag anomalies, potential misuse or fraud indicators for investigation.
• Conduct regular customer engagement visits, reviews and check-ins across the province.
• Maintain accurate customer records, interaction logs and service documentation.
• Support reporting on service performance, usage and customer satisfaction within the province.
• Ensure adherence to contractual SLAs, government procurement requirements and compliance obligations.
• Escalate risks, complaints and unresolved issues to the RT46 Contract Manager promptly.
• Support contract compliance and audit readiness through accurate record-keeping.
