Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Fleet Operations Supervisor to oversee daily fleet activities in Klerksdorp, ensuring efficiency, safety and regulatory compliance. You will supervise drivers, schedule maintenance, and coordinate deliveries in a hybrid on-site/remote setup.

The ideal candidate demonstrates leadership, proactive problem-solving, and strong communication to motivate a team and optimize routes within the North West province. Valid license required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Fleet Supervisor or in a similar logistics management role.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, DOT regulations, and safety protocols.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in fleet management software and basic computer applications.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, managing both on-site and remote coordination aspects.
• A valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor drivers, ensuring adherence to schedules and company policies.
• Oversee the scheduling of vehicle maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
• Monitor driver performance, conduct safety checks, and ensure compliance with traffic regulations.
• Coordinate delivery routes and logistics to meet customer demands efficiently.
• Maintain accurate fleet records, including mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance logs.
• Address and resolve operational issues and customer complaints related to fleet services.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize routes and fuel usage.
