Job summary

The role requires five years in creditors/payables, strong reconciliations, and proficiency in Excel; Afrikaans and English fluency is essential. Salary ranges from R35 000 to R45 000 per month.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in creditors, accounts payable or financial administration.
• Experience in property management or municipal accounts is advantageous.
• Strong reconciliations and month-end skills.
• Excellent numerical and data accuracy.
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English.

Responsibilities

• Process municipal and utility accounts for the portfolio and provide usage information to property managers.
• Calculate and bill monthly tenant recoveries for water and electricity using metering data and municipal accounts.
• Maintain annual fixed recovery charges and apply tariff increases each year.
• Verify tariffs applied by municipalities and metering platforms and perform tariff studies.
• Raise and resolve municipal account queries and reconcile readings.
• Open and set up municipal accounts and recovery structures for new buildings and ensure correct metering.
• Manage municipal guarantees and reconcile municipal deposits to statements.
• Prepare and lodge municipal rates objections and report outcomes.
• Prepare monthly performance reporting and provide support during the annual audit.
• A completed degree in accounting, finance or related field is preferred; a related diploma will be considered.
