Job summary

Frogg Recruitment is seeking a Credit Controller for our client in Bellville, Cape Town. The role focuses on debtors management, credit control, and ensuring timely remittance collection for a manufacturing/imports/export business.

The ideal candidate has 3-4 years’ experience in debtors/credit control, proficient in Excel, and familiar with SAGE/Pastel or XERO. Salary is up to R30 000 per month. Office-based role in Bellville.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years’ experience in Debtors / Credit Controller.

Responsibilities

• Collection of outstanding debtors, follow up on remittances and liaise with clients regarding overdue accounts.
• Oversee the full credit function with other credit controllers.
• Manage debt recovery.
• Process all credit applications ensuring applicant is creditworthy and obtain authorisation for terms and limits.
• Allocate payments daily and obtain remittance advice.
• Reconcile all accounts and obtain bank statements.
• Resolve queries and ensure proper documentation.

Our imports/exports manufacturing client in Bellville, Cape Town, is looking for a Credit Controller with 3-4 years of debtors and credit controlling experience from a products related industry.

Must have the ability to control/collect the debtors book.

Salary up to R30 000 per month.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric
• Financial qualification an added bonus but not a must
• Credit Management 1-3 certificates an added bonus but not a must
• At least 3-4 years’ experience in Debtors / Credit Controller
• Ability to open accounts for clients and doing all the checks and approval
• Ability to work under pressure and deadline-driven
• Experience with software like SAGE/Pastel or XERO
• Excellent experience with excel

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collection of outstanding debtors, follow up on outstanding remittances and liaise with clients regarding overdue accounts
• Work hand in hand with the other credit controllers to oversee the full credit function
• Manage debt recovery
• Process all credit applications ensuring that the applicant is creditworthy and to set and obtain Authorisation for credit terms and limits
• Allocating and processing of journals, incoming funds, and debt recovery
• Allocate payments daily and obtain remittance advice
• Recon of all accounts
• Obtain bank statements and process receipts ensuring that all queries are resolved
