Job summary

takealot.com, South Africa's leading online retailer, seeks a highly talented Promotions Co-ordinator to join our Trade Optimization team in Cape Town. You will coordinate promotional campaigns, work with internal stakeholders, and ensure accuracy of product listings, stock and pricing.

Role reports to the Promotions Operations Manager. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in a high-performance environment in retail marketing/buying/planning and proficiency in Excel and project management tools.

Qualifications

• Degree or Advanced Diploma required. At least 5 years in a high-performance retail environment if qualification not met.
• Proven experience in retail promotions is highly preferred.
• 3+ years in a high-performance environment in retail marketing/buying/planning.

Responsibilities

• Support Promotions Operations Manager in executing on-site promotional campaigns per the Promotions calendar.
• Coordinate with Retail, Marketing, Marketplace, Catalogue and Advertising teams.
• Communicate deadlines, requirements and processes for all campaigns.
• Select relevant offers for email newsletters and site features.
• Provide monthly insights from campaign metrics to optimize future campaigns.
• Monitor planned offers daily and follow up with stakeholders.
• Ensure product selection, listings, stock and pricing are accurate.
• Resolve queries and escalations from stakeholders.
• Train Retail and Marketplace stakeholders on promotional tools.
• Coordinate with Design to develop banners and ensure artwork uploads by deadlines.
• Maintain monthly work schedule and task distribution in Asana.
• Plan and implement additional processes for Anchor campaigns and major sales events.
• Collaborate with Product Team to improve tools and report bugs.
• Ensure accurate and timely activation of promotions with zero errors.
• Perform post-go-live quality checks and resolve queries.
