JVR Software is seeking a skilled mechanical engineer to lead large-scale mining project delivery. You will manage turnkey engineering from design review to commissioning, coordinate with clients and suppliers, review drawings, and support procurement while ensuring safety and quality across the project lifecycle.

Formación

• BEng, BSc Engineering, or BTech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3 to 8 years of experience within heavy industrial environments.
• Exposure to mining, minerals processing, materials handling, or processing plant projects.
• Experience with equipment installation, commissioning, shutdowns, or project execution.
• Ability to interpret and review general arrangement, fabrication, and engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of project engineering principles and project documentation requirements.
• Willingness to travel extensively to customer sites throughout Southern Africa and broader Africa.
• ECSA registration or progress towards professional registration will be advantageous.

• Monitoring fabrication progress and ensuring quality standards are maintained.
• Assisting with installation planning, site coordination, and commissioning activities.
• Identifying technical risks and implementing practical engineering solutions.
• Maintaining accurate engineering records, project documentation, and change management controls.
• Providing technical support during construction, site execution, and plant commissioning.
• Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and client requirements throughout project execution.

As a key member of the projects team, you will play an integral role in the delivery of large-scale mechanical engineering projects across the mining sector. Your responsibilities will include:
