About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee urban development initiatives in Vereeniging, Gauteng . This role is central to driving impactful community projects, focusing on urban renewal, infrastructure improvements, and community engagement programs. The successful candidate will manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring successful outcomes that benefit the local community and adhere to municipal guidelines. This position requires strong on-site presence and engagement with various stakeholders, including local authorities, community groups, and contractors. You will be the driving force behind bringing vital urban development plans to fruition.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and oversee urban development projects, including infrastructure upgrades, public space enhancements, and community facility development.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources efficiently, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within financial scope.
• Coordinate with municipal departments, engineering teams, contractors, and community representatives to ensure project alignment and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Ensure all projects comply with local building codes, zoning regulations, environmental standards, and safety protocols.
• Prepare detailed project proposals, progress reports, and feasibility studies for review by stakeholders and senior management.
• Identify project risks and challenges, developing and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate community consultations and feedback sessions to ensure project relevance and public acceptance.
• Manage procurement processes for materials, services, and contractors involved in urban development projects.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure quality of work.

Requirements

• Proven track record of successfully managing development projects from planning to completion.

• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
