Placements24 is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead software development initiatives in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. You will oversee the full SDLC from concept to deployment, ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality software solutions and maintaining strong stakeholder communication.

The ideal candidate has solid Agile/Scrum experience, proven leadership of cross-functional teams, and hands-on experience with Jira/Confluence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Master's degree or PMP/Agile certification is a strong asset.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development project management.
• Proven experience in managing the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• In-depth knowledge and practical application of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage cross-functional software development teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop, maintain, and execute detailed project plans, tracking progress and managing resources effectively.
• Implement and manage Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) to ensure efficient software development processes.
• Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, proactively implementing solutions.
• Ensure clear and consistent communication with all project stakeholders, including clients, development teams, and management.
• Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, reporting on key metrics and milestones.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee the successful deployment and release of software products.
