About the Role

Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead critical IT systems implementation projects in Kimberley, Northern Cape. This hybrid role requires a blend of on-site engagement for critical stakeholder meetings and team coordination, alongside remote flexibility for day-to-day project management tasks. You will be responsible for the successful deployment of new IT systems, ensuring they are integrated seamlessly with existing infrastructure and meet business requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT project lifecycles, excellent organizational skills, and a proven ability to manage complex projects involving multiple teams and stakeholders. You will work closely with IT departments, business units, and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards within the Northern Cape region.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning, execution, and successful deployment of IT systems implementation projects. Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Manage project risks, issues, and changes, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on delivery. Coordinate with internal IT teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors to ensure alignment and collaboration. Oversee the testing, configuration, and deployment phases of new IT systems. Ensure project deliverables meet the required quality standards and business objectives. Track project progress, provide regular status updates, and manage project documentation effectively. Facilitate effective communication among project team members and stakeholders through meetings and reports. Ensure smooth user adoption and provide post-implementation support coordination. Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT project management processes and methodologies.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with a focus on systems implementation (e.g., ERP, CRM, financial systems). Proven experience managing projects involving software deployment, system integration, and data migration. Strong understanding of IT project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall). Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with technical and business teams. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana). Experience working in a hybrid model, balancing remote tasks with on-site engagement. Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and data privacy regulations is a plus. A proactive approach to managing project challenges and driving successful outcomes.
