Placements24 is seeking a Project Manager to lead energy infrastructure projects in George. The role combines on-site oversight with remote coordination to deliver on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.

You will manage diverse teams, navigate regulatory requirements, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships while upholding safety and environmental responsibilities. A PMP and 5+ years of relevant experience are preferred.

About the Role

Our client seeks a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to oversee critical energy infrastructure projects in the George region. This role requires a leader capable of managing projects from inception through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate diverse teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and mitigate risks inherent in large-scale energy developments. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of energy infrastructure projects , from planning and design to execution and closure.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure project success.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement timely mitigation strategies.
• Manage stakeholder communication, providing regular updates on project status, challenges, and achievements.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, environmental standards, and contractual obligations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; PMP certification is highly desirable.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in managing large-scale energy projects , such as power generation, transmission, or distribution infrastructure.
• Demonstrated success in managing project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and standard office applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
