Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead significant energy infrastructure projects based in Centurion . This hybrid role involves overseeing projects from conception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will manage cross-functional teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and mitigate risks associated with large-scale energy developments, including power plants and transmission networks. This is a key position within our client's operational management structure, requiring both office-based strategy development and on-site project oversight in the Gauteng area.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and closing of complex energy infrastructure projects.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Manage project risks, issues, and changes, ensuring proactive mitigation strategies are in place.
• Coordinate effectively with internal teams (engineering, procurement, construction) and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality controls throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project progress, provide regular status reports, and manage stakeholder expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; PMP or similar certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management , specifically within the energy or infrastructure sectors.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, risk management, and contract negotiation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing remote planning with on-site supervision in Centurion .
