About the Role

Our client, a leading financial services institution, is seeking a strategic and results-driven Project Manager to lead key business transformation initiatives within Sandton, Gauteng, ZA.

This role is pivotal in driving organizational change, improving operational efficiency, and implementing new business processes and technologies.

The successful candidate will manage complex, cross-functional projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and stakeholder buy-in.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple high-impact business transformation projects simultaneously.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed work breakdown structures, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Manage project execution, monitor progress against plans, and proactively identify and address risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional project teams, business units, and technology departments.
• Drive the adoption of new processes and systems through robust change management strategies.
• Oversee the procurement and management of third-party vendors and service providers.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Prepare and present regular project status reports, executive summaries, and recommendations to steering committees and senior leadership.
• Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and ensure continuous improvement.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• MBA or relevant Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with a significant focus on business transformation and change management projects.
• Proven experience within the financial services industry is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of business process analysis, re-engineering, and optimization.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional projects in a corporate environment.
