About the Role

Our client, a large financial services institution, is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Program Manager to lead a series of critical business transformation programs in Centurion, Gauteng . This role demands a strategic thinker with extensive experience in managing complex, cross-functional initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, improving customer experience, and driving strategic growth. You will be responsible for overseeing multiple related projects, ensuring alignment with the organization's overarching strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a proven ability to deliver significant business outcomes. This is a high-impact role within a key business unit located in Centurion, Gauteng .

Key Responsibilities

• Define, plan, and execute large-scale business transformation programs, encompassing multiple interdependent projects.
• Develop program roadmaps, strategic objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs) in alignment with organizational goals.
• Manage program budgets, resources, and timelines, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization.
• Lead and mentor a portfolio of Project Managers, providing guidance and oversight to ensure successful project delivery.
• Oversee risk management at the program level, identifying potential threats and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among diverse stakeholder groups, including senior executives, business units, and technology teams.
• Drive change management initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes and systems across the organization in Centurion, Gauteng .
• Monitor program performance, track progress against milestones, and provide regular, comprehensive reports to executive leadership.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Finance, or a related field.
• A Bachelor's degree with extensive relevant experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in program management, with a significant focus on business transformation or strategic initiatives within the financial services industry.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex programs with budgets exceeding R15 million.
• Extensive experience in stakeholder management, particularly with senior executive levels.
• Strong understanding of financial services operations, market trends, and regulatory environments.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
• Proficiency in program management methodologies and tools (e.g., MS Project, PPM software).
• Experience managing programs in the Gauteng region is highly preferred.
• PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification is strongly desired.
