Job summary

Ampstek is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a large-scale BSS Transformation project in Johannesburg. The role requires coordinating multiple workstreams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.

The ideal candidate will manage governance, budgets, risks, and dependencies while driving end-to-end delivery, testing, and deployment activities onsite. Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Project Manager / Programme Manager.
• Proven experience in BSS / Telecom Transformation projects.
• Strong stakeholder, vendor, risk, dependency, and governance skills.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of a large BSS Transformation programme.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budget, risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across business, technology, architecture, and vendors.
• Establish project governance, reporting, and delivery controls.
• Manage senior stakeholder expectations and provide regular project updates.
• Drive successful delivery of transformation, integration, testing, and deployment activities.
• Identify and resolve risks and issues to ensure timely project delivery.
