Job summary

Centrax Digital UK is seeking a Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of finance and actuarial technology projects — on scope, on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.

Reporting to the Head: Centre IT, you will be accountable for planning, governance, financial control, risk management and stakeholder alignment across the project lifecycle, and for ensuring delivered solutions are adopted by the business and realise their business case benefits.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT or business project management, with 4+ years in insurance or financial services.
• Delivered finance transformation projects: ERP, data platforms, reporting or automation.
• Managed multi-million rand budgets, business cases and benefits realisation.
• Strong vendor and contract management including SOWs and third-party oversight.
• Led multi-workstream programs with cross-system dependencies.
• Skilled in governance forums, negotiation, and stakeholder communication.
• Knowledge of finance and actuarial processes, accounting principles and reporting.

Our client, a leading financial services and insurance group, is seeking a Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of finance and actuarial technology projects — on scope, on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards. Reporting to the Head: Centre IT, you will be accountable for planning, governance, financial control, risk management and stakeholder alignment across the project lifecycle, and for ensuring delivered solutions are adopted by the business and realise their business case benefits.

Key focus areas: integrated planning and delivery management, budget and vendor commercial management, risk, issue and dependency control, steering committee governance and reporting, and change management through to BAU handover.

Requirements

• 8+ years in IT or business project management, with 4+ years in insurance or financial services
• Proven delivery of finance transformation projects: ERP implementations, finance data platforms, reporting or process automation
• Experience managing multi-million rand budgets, business cases and benefits realisation
• Strong vendor and contract management, including SOWs and third-party delivery oversight
• Track record managing multi-workstream projects with cross-system dependencies
• Working understanding of business analysis, architecture, integration, data migration and testing — enough to challenge constructively
• Experience facilitating executive-level governance forums
• Strong negotiation, analytical and communication skills
• MS Project or equivalent, Jira, Confluence, Visio, MS Office; Agile and Waterfall
• Sound understanding of finance and actuarial processes, accounting principles and reporting standards
