We're seeking an experienced Project Manager (IT) with a strong background in software development and a proven track record of leading projects to success. This role is ideal for someone who has transitioned from hands-on development into project management and thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution: Define scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, resources, and budgets. Lead teams to deliver on time and within budget.
- Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships, manage expectations, and communicate risks/issues clearly.
- Resource Management: Allocate and coordinate resources effectively, resolving conflicts when needed.
- Risk Management: Identify risks early, develop mitigation strategies, and adapt plans proactively.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure deliverables meet high standards and customer expectations.
- Budget Management: Track expenses, manage budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Team Leadership: Motivate, guide, and evaluate team members while fostering collaboration.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive process optimization and capture lessons learned for future projects.
Qualifications & Experience
- IT Degree or Diploma
- Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent)
- 5--8 years in IT, with at least 5 years in software development
- Strong knowledge of the system development lifecycle
- Experience in Financial Services or Insurance (advantageous)
- Skilled in Agile methodologies, with Scrum experience preferred
- Proficiency in JIRA and Confluence
