Job summary

Objective Personnel is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy background to lead capital processing equipment projects in the mining sector. You will manage a multidisciplinary team, coordinate design, procurement, and construction, and report to Senior Management.

• Six years of experience on capital processing equipment in mining with multi-disciplinary engineering and project experience.
• Understand mechanical components of grinding mills and other equipment and how machines operate.
• Able to execute projects with Senior Management.
• Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of design and visualization software.
• Ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
• Excellent project management and supervision skills.
• Strong organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards and best practices.
• Good decision-making skills.
• Strong technical skills in engineering principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage own projects as well as the assigned team of Project Engineers and Administrators in accordance with the company’s specifications and requirements.
• Direct interface with and management by the Project Directors and the Board to accomplish project goals.
• Lead a project team to deliver successful projects with careful development and guidance.
• Interface with departments for design, drawings, quality, logistics, finance, etc.
• Directly responsible for the project’s success or failure.

Duties

• Manage own projects as well as the assigned team of Project Engineers and Administrators in accordance with the company’s specifications and requirements.
• This will be accomplished by the Project Managers direct interface with and via constant management by the company’s Project Directors and the company's Board.
• The Project Manager will have a project team assigned, that should be carefully managed, developed, and guided to deliver successful projects.
• Interface with the various departments for design, drawings, quality, logistics, finance etc. will be required.
• The Project Manager is directly responsible for the project’s success or failure.
