Job summary

Parvana in Cape Town, South Africa, is seeking an experienced technology project leader to translate priorities into executable plans and to lead multi-workstream programs from mobilisation through service transition.

Responsibilities

• Translate prioritised technology outcomes into executable plans using adaptable methodologies, independently leading projects and multi-workstream programs from mobilisation through to service transition.
• Assemble the right multidisciplinary team of colleagues, contractors, vendors, and AI agents while integrating work across Infrastructure, Security, Service Delivery, Engineering, and third parties.
• Drive cutover, migration, and support readiness ensuring proper controls and resilience, while managing vendor delivery, statements of work, forecasting, and cost control.
• Build trusted relationships with senior business and technology stakeholders to communicate progress, risks, and decisions, while partnering with Product, Architecture, and Engineering.
• Leverage AI and automation to accelerate planning, RAID and status synthesis, dependency analysis, and reporting, freeing up personal effort for judgement, problem-solving, and leadership.
• Contribute to the team's standards, frameworks, tooling, and ways of working to continuously improve delivery quality across the organisation.

What you will be doing:

What our client is looking for:

• A relevant tertiary qualification would be beneficial.
• Relevant certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, Scrum or ITIL) are advantageous, but not essential.
• 8 - 12 years delivering technology projects and programs within multi-team enterprise environments.
• Professional or financial services technology, Big Four/Accenture consulting, or client-facing systems integrators.
• Pragmatic and flexible application of agile, waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Demonstrable, hands-on experience using and experimenting with AI tools (such as Microsoft Copilot or Claude) to accelerate work and improve impact.
• Broad technical understanding across cloud and infrastructure, workplace technology, M365, IAM, ITSM, and cyber controls.
• Experience leading migrations, cutovers, and service transitions in regulated or control-heavy environments.
• Strong commercial and vendor management skills covering statements of work, third-party performance, and cost control.
• Proven ability to direct mixed teams of permanent staff, contractors, and third parties without formal line authority.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to present effectively at senior and executive levels.
• Self-directed, outcome-focused, collaborative, low-ego, and pragmatic approach to driving initiatives from ambiguity to delivery.
