Job summary

Communicate Finance is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead civil projects from planning through delivery in South Africa. You will oversee designs, site inspections, and construction activities while managing budgets, timelines, resources and quality standards.

You will mentor junior engineers, prepare technical reports and tender documents, and ensure compliance with regulations and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or BTech in Civil Engineering.
• ECSA registration as a Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 6 years’ consulting engineering experience
• Proven experience in civil infrastructure design and project management
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in civil design software and Microsoft Office
• Experience in quality assurance, cost control and construction supervision
