About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Lead Civil Engineer to spearhead critical infrastructure projects based in Centurion, Gauteng. This role is essential for planning, designing, and overseeing the execution of large-scale civil engineering works, including roads, bridges, water supply systems, and sanitation networks. The Lead Civil Engineer will manage project teams, coordinate with various stakeholders, and ensure that all engineering designs meet regulatory standards and client requirements. This is a hands-on, office and site-based position requiring a deep technical understanding and strong project management capabilities. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional committed to delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions for the Centurion region and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of civil engineering infrastructure projects.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Supervise and mentor a team of civil engineers and technical staff.
• Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and impact assessments.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant national and local standards, codes, and regulations.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and government authorities.
• Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, and technical reports.
• Oversee the construction phase, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to design specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve engineering challenges encountered during project execution.
• Prepare tender documents and assist in the procurement process.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
