Communicate Recruitment is seeking a driven Senior Civil Engineer to lead major infrastructure projects from concept to completion. You will guide design teams, manage budgets and schedules, review technical work, and ensure safety and quality standards across site activities.

You will mentor junior engineers, liaise with clients and contractors, prepare reports and tender documents, and help shape technical excellence within a dynamic consulting environment in South Africa.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or BTech in civil engineering.
• ECSA registration as PE or PTech.
• Minimum 6 years’ consulting engineering experience.
• Experience in civil infrastructure design and project management.

Responsabilidades

• Lead civil engineering projects from planning to delivery.
• Oversee designs, technical reviews, site inspections and construction activities.
• Drive project budgets, timelines, resources and quality standards.
• Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and project teams.
• Prepare and review technical reports, tender documents and BOQs.
• Ensure compliance with standards, regulations and health and safety requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical excellence.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in civil infrastructure design and project management
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in civil design software and Microsoft Office
• Experience in quality assurance, cost control and construction supervision

Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree or BTech in Civil Engineering
• ECSA registration as a Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist
