Job summary

Uyandiswa Project Management Services in Johannesburg seeks a seasoned Programme Manager to oversee interrelated projects and workstreams for blue-chip clients, ensuring programmes deliver on strategic intent.

You will coordinate multiple project teams, manage interdependencies, and provide executive-level oversight to turn client strategy into real results, with a focus on governance, benefits realisation, and ROI reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, IT, or related field (required).
• Postgraduate qualification advantageous (nice-to-have).
• Programme or Project Management certification (MSP, PgMP, PMP, or PRINCE2) required.
• Minimum 8 years’ project/programme management experience, including at least 3 years managing multi-project programmes.
• Experience in consulting, professional services, or large corporate environments across FS, energy, manufacturing, or consumer goods.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the overall programme roadmap, aligning multiple projects to the client’s strategic objectives.
• Manage interdependencies, shared resources, and competing priorities across concurrent project workstreams.
• Establish and chair programme governance structures, including steering committees and executive reporting.
• Oversee programme-level budgeting, benefits realisation tracking, and ROI reporting.
• Provide coaching and direction to Project Managers and Project Coordinators within the programme.
• Proactively manage programme-level risks, escalations, and change requests with senior client stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, IT, or a related field; postgraduate qualification advantageous.
