Job summary

Indsafri is seeking a Programme Executive to lead end-to-end strategy, execution, planning, and governance of all projects and programmes within a project function, with a focus on large-scale agile transformation in the banking sector.

You will model capacity, manage budgets, drive strategic planning, and mentor senior staff while building a culture of continuous improvement to deliver against strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• 12-15 years of experience in a project environment, managing large projects and/or programmes.
• 3-5 years in Senior Management roles.
• Extensive experience in large-scale agile transformation.
• Banking background and experience.

Responsibilities

• Model and communicate capacity requirements across the full portfolio of projects, driving effective capacity planning and resource allocation.
• Ensure alignment of capacity requirements with strategic priorities and drive practices for optimized planning.
• Establish and manage branch budgets against agreed financial models, considering operational and growth strategies.
• Participate in the strategic planning for the function, ensuring optimal team delivery and commercial relevance.
• Leverage leading industry benchmarks to ensure competitive capability and foster cross-pollination of successful solutions with other project management teams.
• Embrace and drive the leadership agenda within the division/function.
• Manage the performance of direct reports and hold them accountable for their team's performance.
• Actively build a culture of improvement and contribute to team effectiveness through recruitment and selection of senior staff.
• Optimize team performance and motivation, empowering team members to make decisions and recommend tailored solutions.
• Monitor and correct deviations in the Divisional EE and Transformation Plan to ensure target achievement.
• Support the company's strategy by driving corporate citizenship and developing/implementing a differentiated culture strategy.
• Ensure the achievement of targets through effective monitoring of implemented plans.

The Programme Executive will be responsible for the end-to-end management of strategy, execution, planning, organization, negotiation, staffing, direction, and control of all aspects of projects and programmes within a project function. This role is crucial for the successful implementation of projects to realize the company's strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in large-scale agile transformation within the banking sector.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Education

• Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
• Professional Qualification / Honour's Degree.

Certifications

• PMP or Prince certification.

Experience
