Qualifications

• Valid South African driver’s license (Code 08/EB)
• Clean driving record
• Proven experience as a van driver or in a similar delivery role
• Familiarity with Pietermaritzburg road networks
• Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting/carrying)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliability, punctuality and strong work ethic
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
• Legally eligible to work in South Africa

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a light commercial van for deliveries within Pietermaritzburg area.
• Plan and execute daily delivery routes efficiently, optimizing for time and fuel.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report defects.
• Load and unload goods as required and secure items.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and proof of delivery.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations and company policies.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and represent the company professionally.
