About the Role

Our client, a leading logistics and distribution firm, is seeking an experienced and reliable Professional Van Driver & Logistics Coordinator to join their dynamic team in Mahikeng, North West. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of goods while also contributing to the overall coordination of transport operations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, a strong understanding of route planning, and the ability to manage logistics documentation. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and as part of a team, maintaining high standards of service and safety. You will be the face of our client's delivery service, interacting directly with customers and ensuring a positive experience. Your contribution will be vital to maintaining the smooth flow of operations and customer satisfaction in Mahikeng region.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial van for the transportation of goods to various destinations within and around Mahikeng.
• Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure efficiency and punctuality, considering traffic conditions and delivery schedules.
• Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Assist in the coordination of daily logistics operations, including scheduling, dispatching, and tracking deliveries.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members regarding delivery status and any potential issues.
• Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, building positive relationships with clients.

Requirements
