About the Role

We are looking for an Electronics/Mechatronics Engineer with experience in SW/ FW Development. This position is based in Stellenbosch. Position is in-office and may become hybrid after probation period at the discretion of Manager.

Responsibilities

Electronic:

  • Design of new circuits using industry tools such as Altium and LT Spice.
  • Routing and bring up of new PCBs.

Mechanical:

  • 3D modeling of mechanical test jigs and components in the virtual world as well as the building and integration of new BoNs.

Mechatronic:

  • Consuming both 3D models and electronic circuit diagrams and PCBs to keep up to date Multiboard projects so that we have an accurate depiction of what is currently on the factory floor at any given time.

Other:

  • Remote and on-site support for all Manufacturing Test software, equipment and related systems.
  • Design, develop and support data flow schemas and procedures relating to the assembly and maintenance of electro-mechanical Test Systems and Manufacturing testing including traceability plans.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Electronics/Mechatronics Engineering Degree or similar with 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience in FW Development with C and Python advantageous
  • National Instruments Development suite (LabVIEW, TestStand, CVI) experience a bonus
  • Embedded Linux experiences advantageous
  • Must present a strong attention to detail and process.
  • Enthusiastic, “can do” attitude towards your work, manage their own time and workload
