Job summary

Maxiflex Door Systems SA is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead factory planning and workshop operations. You will oversee production scheduling, material control and quality compliance to meet project deadlines.

The role requires strong technical literacy, welding experience, and a hands-on approach to safety. A SA driver’s licence and the ability to work under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent technical certificate with related qualification.
• Tertiary production-related qualification is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in workshop/production management, preferably in the construction industry.
• Stock management and procurement experience essential.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instructions.
• Valid SA driver’s licence with own transport.

Job description

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL, TECHNICAL AND EXPERIENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12 or equivalent Technical certificate, and Tertiary Production related qualification
• Tertiary Trade qualification will be advantageous
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Workshop and/or Production Management, preferably in the Construction sector – Construction industry knowledge is required
• Responsible for full Production Planning function and management of all facets of the Workshop
• Stock management and Procurement experience essential
• Competence in IT systems: MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Ability to understand, interpret, implement and delegate technical instructions
• Ability to perform basic electrical applications and to work with hand tools and power tools
• Technical fault finding and solution application
• Welding experience: Tig, Arc, CO2, and Spot welding
• Risk assessment qualification and good knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety legislation
• Ability to develop, implement and maintain production systems
• Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines. Valid SA driver’s licence with own transport
