We're looking for a hands-on Workshop & ProductionManager who can successfully bridge the gap between technical execution andoperational leadership. This is not a desk-based management role—you'll leadfrom the front, ensuring production runs efficiently while remaining activelyinvolved in the workshop when required.

Key Responsibilities
- Leadand manage the daily operations of the workshop and production department.
- Plan,schedule and monitor production to ensure deadlines and quality standardsare achieved.
- Supervise,mentor and develop workshop staff while maintaining high productivity.
- Rollup your sleeves and assist with welding, repairs, fault finding andworkshop activities when needed.
- Managestock levels, procurement and workshop resources.
- Read,interpret and implement technical drawings and production specifications.
- Overseemaintenance of workshop equipment, machinery and facilities, includingbasic electrical, plumbing and building maintenance.
- Drivecontinuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reducedowntime.
- Ensurefull compliance with Occupational Health & Safety legislation andmaintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Grade12 (Matric).
- Technicalqualification or Trade Test (highly advantageous).
- Productionor Operations Management qualification will be beneficial.
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing a workshop, production facility ormanufacturing environment.
- Strongproduction planning and scheduling experience.
- Provenleadership experience managing workshop or production teams.
- Constructionor manufacturing industry experience is essential.
- Abilityto read and interpret technical drawings.
- Hands-ontechnical ability with welding (TIG, ARC, CO₂ and Spot Welding), faultfinding and use of power tools.
- Practicalknowledge of basic electrical work, plumbing and general buildingmaintenance.
- Strongstock control and procurement experience.
- Soundknowledge of Occupational Health & Safety legislation.
- Validdriver's licence and own transport.
