Job summary

Xceptor seeks an experienced Product Manager for its post-trade team. You will own the roadmap for a defined area of the core platform, working with clients, Sales, and Engineering to build the right features in the right order.

You’ll lead requirements gathering, translate insights into product capabilities, and collaborate across engineering, UX, and QA to ensure timely, high-quality delivery in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Your Role

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our post-trade team, owning a defined area of the Xceptor core platform. Our clients - banks, asset managers, and financial services firms - rely on Xceptor to source, curate, and automate the flow of their most critical trade and market data. As this area of the platform sits close to trading and post-trade workflows, we're looking for someone who understands first‑hand the pressures, workflows, and data challenges our clients face. As Product Manager, you will define and drive the roadmap for your area, working closely with clients, Sales, Client Delivery, and Engineering to ensure we build the right things, in the right order, for the right reasons.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Owning the product roadmap and strategy for a defined post‑trade area of the Xceptor core platform, prioritising features and enhancements based on client value, market opportunity, and commercial impact.
• Gathering and synthesising requirements from clients, partners, and internal stakeholders (Sales, Client Delivery, Support) to define clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Designing user research testing (product usability), working with research and product to translate insights into product features and functionality.
• Working closely with Engineering, UX, and QA throughout the product development lifecycle, from discovery and design through to release, ensuring features are delivered on time and to a high standard.

• Defining and tracking success metrics for features and releases, using client feedback and platform data to inform ongoing prioritisation and iteration.
• Communicating product plans, roadmaps, and release updates clearly to internal stakeholders and, where appropriate, directly to clients and partners.
• Representing the voice of the client internally and the voice of Xceptor externally, building strong relationships with key clients and industry stakeholders to inform the product strategy.

Who we're looking for

• Experience as a Fintech Product Manager, or similar role.
• Experience working in a fintech, financial services, capital markets, or other regulated environment.
• Knowledge of post‑trade (middle and back office) operations in banks is useful but not essential.
• Strong understanding of product management principles and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and deliver in a fast‑paced environment.
• Comfortable operating in highly technical discussions with engineers, architects, and technology leaders.
• Can read and understand code and enjoys engaging with technical concepts.
• Has a strong builder mindset and is passionate about creating products that enable others to succeed.
• Is naturally curious and constantly learning about new technologies, tools, and approaches.
