About the Role

You will be instrumental in bringing new product concepts to life, from initial ideation through to manufacturing readiness. Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and develop mechanical aspects of new products using advanced CAD software.
• Create detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
• Conduct design validation through simulation (FEA, CFD) and physical prototyping.
• Work with manufacturing partners to optimize designs for mass production, considering cost, quality, and lead times.
• Develop and execute product testing plans to ensure performance, durability, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot design and manufacturing issues, proposing and implementing effective solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the product development process.
• Research and evaluate new materials, components, and manufacturing technologies.
• Document design processes, test results, and project progress comprehensively.
• Contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in product design.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in product design and development, with a portfolio of successfully launched products.
• Expertise in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360) and understanding of GD&T.
• Experience with rapid prototyping methods and manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, CNC machining, 3D printing).
• Solid understanding of material properties, stress analysis, and thermodynamics.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in an on-site setting.
• Passion for innovation and a drive to create high-quality products.
• Experience in consumer electronics or durable goods design is a plus.
