Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for new product introductions using advanced CAD software.
• Conduct thorough design analysis, including stress, thermal, and vibration simulations, to optimize performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with industrial designers to translate aesthetic concepts into manufacturable designs.
• Work closely with manufacturing engineers to define production processes and ensure design for manufacturability (DFM).
• Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Participate in prototype development, testing, and validation phases, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
• Identify and evaluate new materials and technologies to enhance product performance and reduce costs.
• Support production ramp-up and provide ongoing engineering support for released products.
• Present design concepts and findings to cross-functional teams and management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in mechanical product design and development, preferably in consumer electronics or similar fast-paced industries.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SOLIDWORKS, Inventor) and experience with FEA simulation tools.
• Solid understanding of materials, manufacturing processes (plastics, metal stamping, injection molding), and GD&T.
• Experience with prototype building and testing procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Familiarity with hybrid work environments and effective remote collaboration tools.
