Job summary

JVR Software in South Africa seeks a procurement administrator with attention to detail to manage documentation, record keeping, and inventory planning for our production facility. You will ensure timely raw material deliveries, evaluate supplier prices, negotiate contracts, monitor supplier performance, and collaborate with production, quality control, and finance to secure material availability.

A valid RSA driver’s license with own transport is required; knowledge of the animal feed sector is

Qualifications

• National Senior Certificate (NQF4) or equivalent.
• 3 years’ experience in a procurement administrative role within a production facility.
• Valid RSA driver’s licence with own transport.
• Knowledge and experience in animal feed industry will be favourable.
• Qualification in business, supply chain management or agriculture will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Documentation and record management.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and anticipate raw material needs.
• Ensure the timely delivery of raw materials.
• Evaluate supplier prices and negotiate contracts to ensure competitive pricing.
• Monitor supplier performance and take corrective actions when necessary.
• Collaborate with production, quality control, and finance departments to ensure the availability of raw materials for production.
