ProjectLink is seeking a Procurement & Materials Coordinator / Expeditor (Mining) to manage orders, track deliveries, and coordinate with suppliers and site teams in Rustenburg. You will monitor purchase orders and ensure timely arrivals on site.
Ideal candidates have 5 years expediting in mining, SAP experience, and strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills. This fixed-term 10-month contract supports on-site procurement activities.
An expeditor ensures that materials, equipment, or services are delivered on time. They monitor purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to avoid delays.
They act as the link between the company and suppliers—checking progress, confirming timelines, and resolving issues that could impact delivery.
Expeditors make sure procurement aligns with the project schedule. If something is late, they escape and push for faster turnaround.
When delays or shortages occur, the expeditor finds solutions—alternative suppliers, revised delivery plans, or prioritising critical items.
They maintain records of orders, delivery dates, and supplier performance, and provide regular updates to project managers or procurement teams.
In some roles, they verify that goods meet required specifications before dispatch or upon arrival.
They ensure materials arrive at the right place, at the right time, and in the correct quantities to avoid site downtime.
Diploma or certificate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Procurement
