Job summary

Hired Recruitment (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Procurement Assistant based in Isando, Gauteng, to provide administrative and operational support to the Procurement Department. You will manage purchase orders, maintain supplier relationships, track inventory and ensure compliance with company purchasing policies.

The ideal candidate is highly organised, detail‑oriented and possesses strong negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Relevant Diploma or Degree in Business.
• 1–3 years' experience in a commercial purchasing, administration, or logistics role.
• Experience with supplier management and procurement processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interface between suppliers and company on specifications and budgets.
• Conduct supplier reviews for best service and pricing.
• Monitor market trends and source suppliers.
• Prepare purchase orders aligned with negotiations and targets.
• Resolve pricing, quality, delivery or invoice issues with suppliers.
• Ensure supplier BBEE certificates are valid and compliant.
• Manage stock levels and ensure continuous supply.
