Job summary

Tiger Brands is seeking a production operator to mix products according to SOPs and meet the daily production plan on the factory floor. You will clean mixing equipment, CIP tanks and fillers, perform visual inspections inside tanks before batch making, and record batches in the batch control book.

You will download recipes from the system, load information, compare shop floor orders with recipes, report discrepancies to the Process Controller, take samples to QC, and ensure contamination

Qualifications

• Following SOPs to mix products according to daily production plan.
• Adherence to GMP and Food Safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Competently mix products according to applicable SOPs in order to meet the daily production plan.
• Batches of products are mixed according to the applicable recipes and meet product specifications.
• Clean the mixing equipment and surrounding area (as per GMP & Food Safety requirements)
• CIP the tanks and Fillers according to the specific requirements.
• Do visual inspections inside tanks before starting batch making
• Inform QC to take swabs after CIP
• Complete CIP check-sheets
• Audit material against shop floor order and rectify discrepancies with Issuer and sign
• Receive (batch) raw material from stores
• Download recipes from system and load information according to the shop floor order and plan
• Compare shop floor order with the recipes
• Connect swing band properly to avoid contamination of products.
• Report any discrepancies to the Process Controller
• Record the batches on the batch control book
• Take samples of product to QC.
