Job summary

Tiger Brands in Gauteng is seeking a production operator to mix products according to SOPs and meet daily production targets. The role includes cleaning equipment, CIP of tanks and fillers, and conducting visual inspections before batch production.

Responsibilities include recording batches, loading recipes from the system, and ensuring shop floor orders align with recipes. You will report discrepancies to the Process Controller and support quality checks on materials and products.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with GMP and Food Safety requirements.
• Ability to read batch records and recipes.
• Capable of working on a production line.

Job description

Competently mix products according to applicable SOPs in order to meet the daily production plan.

Batches of products are mixed according to the applicable recipes and meet product specifications.

• Clean the mixing equipment and surrounding area (as per GMP & Food Safety requirements)
• CIP the tanks and Fillers according to the specific requirements.
• Do visual inspections inside tanks before starting batch making
• Inform QC to take swabs after CIP
• Complete CIP check-sheets
• Audit material against shop floor order and rectify discrepancies with Issuer and sign
• Receive (batch) raw material from stores
• Download recipes from system and load information according to the shop floor order and plan
• Compare shop floor order with the recipes
• Connect swing band properly to avoid contamination of products.
• Report any discrepancies to the Process Controller
• Record the batches on the batch control book
• Take samples of product to QC
