Placements24 is seeking a skilled Process Safety Engineer to enhance safety protocols and manage risks within Oil & Gas facilities, focusing on operations near Polokwane. You will implement and manage PSM programs, perform hazard analyses, and ensure safe design, operation, and maintenance of processes.

The role requires a minimum of 6 years in process safety, strong knowledge of OSHA PSM and EPA RMP, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach to maintaining high safety standards in a high-risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in process safety engineering in Oil & Gas or chemical processing.
• Deep knowledge of PSM principles, OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, and best practices.
• Experience with hazard identification and risk assessment techniques.
• Strong understanding of process safety systems and safeguards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct PHAs (HAZOP, LOPA, What-If) to identify process hazards.
• Develop and implement Process Safety Management elements.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Process Safety Engineer to enhance safety protocols and manage risks within their Oil & Gas facilities, with a focus on operations supporting Polokwane. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safe design, operation, and maintenance of processes to prevent catastrophic accidents. You will be responsible for implementing and managing process safety management (PSM) programs, including hazard identification, risk analysis, and safety systems. This position requires a detail-oriented engineer committed to maintaining the highest safety standards in a high-risk industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) such as HAZOP, LOPA, and What-If studies.
• Develop and implement Process Safety Management (PSM) elements.
