Qualifications

• PHA studies and hazard analysis to identify risks.
• Strong knowledge of PSM principles and standards (OSHA PSM, Seveso).
• Experience with hazard modeling and risk assessment.
• PE certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct PHAs (HAZOP, LOPA, What-If) for processes.
• Develop and implement safety procedures and emergency plans.
• Monitor operations for regulatory compliance and internal standards.
• Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide safety training on process safety principles.
• Manage Mechanical Integrity programs and inspection schedules.
• Review designs to ensure safety before implementation.
• Stay updated on new safety technologies and best practices.
• Prepare safety reports for regulators and management.
• Champion safety initiatives at the Pietermaritzburg site.
