Job summary

A leading dairy company in Cape Town is seeking to hire a Training Manager to manage technical training programs and ensure compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in food technology, strong mentoring skills, and at least 5 years of experience in the food and beverage sector. Responsibilities include updating production documentation and developing new training programs for various roles in production.

Qualifications

  • 5 years' experience in the food and beverage industry is required.
  • Knowledge of principles of microbiology and food legislation is critical.
  • Experience in creating reports on training status.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all technical training completion within timelines.
  • Update and maintain production technical documents including SOPs.
  • Develop new training programs for various production roles.

Job description
Main purpose of the job

Manage all technical training completed within required timeline Completing of assessments during the training and on Final sign-off.

This include but not limit to : New Development program for Shift Co., Process Operators, Plant Operators, Blenders, Pumpers, CIP operators, Machine Operator and CSB operators.

Update / Maintain Production Technical documents

This include but not limited to : SOPs, One Pager SOPs, and Process Flows, Assessments and criteria.

Preferred Requirements
  • Matric with Maths and Science
  • Diploma : Food Technology or Diploma : Production in Food and Beverage Packaging Operation.
  • Advantage : with Technical Qualification : N3
  • Team Leader / Management / Supervisory Training
  • 5 Years within Food and beverage.
Knowledge
  • Engineering / Mechanical, Material requirement planning
  • Plant capacity and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
  • Product and process specific knowledge
  • Knowledge and interpretation of advance process control
  • Principles of microbiology
  • Understanding of processing equipment
  • Clean in Place (CIP) procedures
  • HACCP, waste management
  • GMP quality control and quality assurance
  • Raw material functions
  • Intermediate knowledge instrumentation
  • System fault finding
  • Health and safety practices
  • Food legislation
