Implats is seeking a Chemical Engineer (NQF Level 7) with a B-Tech degree and 1–2 years of experience to provide technical support to plant operations and manage capital projects. You will conduct HAZOP studies, update process baselines, and implement improvements to ensure safe, efficient operation at the Platinum Metal Refinery (PMR).

Qualifikationen

• NQF Level 7 qualification in Chemical Engineering.
• 1-2 years’ experience is required, with a B-Tech degree.

• Provide technical assistance to plant/operations for optimal operation and continuous process improvement.
• Conduct capital plan items (design, commissioning, implementation, and project management) to meet business plan.
• Undertake work with operations and complete modules to indicate understanding and plant training familiarisation.
• Identify problems and conduct troubleshooting, research and investigations.
• Generate solutions addressing plant issues within time constraints.
• Update design basis, process operation and operating philosophy.
• Conduct HAZOP studies and P&ID modifications.
• Anticipate production problems through troubleshooting and implement corrective actions.
• Compile reports detailing troubleshooting findings and recommendations within deadlines.
• Perform planned job observations, process inspections and audits.
• Promote safety awareness and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
