About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Engineer to join their manufacturing facility in Richards Bay . This role is crucial for optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality. You will work hands-on with the production team to troubleshoot issues, implement new technologies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background with a passion for problem-solving and a deep understanding of manufacturing workflows and methodologies in a physical plant setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement process changes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
• Design, test, and implement new manufacturing technologies and equipment.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of process simulation software and statistical process control (SPC).
• Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
