Placements24 is seeking a proactive Process Development Engineer to focus on improving and scaling up chemical processes at their Soweto facility. The role translates laboratory innovations into robust, scalable industrial processes, designing pilot plant studies and analyzing performance to drive safe commercialization.

You will collaborate with R&D, production and engineering teams, develop scale-up strategies and PFDs, and contribute to product innovation and manufacturing efficiency in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Experience in process development, scale-up, or pilot plant operations.
• Strong understanding of reaction engineering, thermodynamics and separations.
• Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and experimental design skills.
• Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute pilot plant trials to test and validate new chemical processes.
