Job summary

Medipost Holdings in Pretoria is seeking a Risk Prevention Officer to join the Risk Management Team. You will observe risk, identify concerns and communicate them, ensuring a safe and secure environment for staff and visitors.

The role requires Grade 12 and 1–2 years in security, with strong surveillance, reporting and incident handling skills. You will patrol premises, monitor access, respond to alarms and report findings in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Experience in surveillance and risk observation is required.
• Ability to identify and report risk or irregularities promptly.
• Maintain a safe, secure environment and follow policies.

Responsibilities

• Accurately observe risk and identify potential risk.
• Monitor potential risk, crime or disorder and investigate disturbances.
• Report suspicious activities or irregularities promptly.
• Inform violators of policy and record interactions.
• Patrol premises and secure access points and perimeters.
• Inspect buildings, equipment and entry points and report anomalies.
• Respond to alarms and escalate risk observations as needed.
• Monitor access points and direct visitor traffic.
• Analyze security footage when required.
• Perform First Aid or Fire Fighting functions when required.
• Record and report observations, incidents and losses with detail.
• Build relationships with employees, heads of departments, clients and visitors.
• Attend daily roll calls and adhere to dress code.
