Job summary

Standard Bank Group is seeking a Branch-based Consumer Client Specialist to provide efficient contact for new and existing clients and to drive proactive selling within the local market.

The role focuses on identifying and fulfilling clients' banking needs, managing risks with new accounts, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships to grow business.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of experience in Personal and Private Banking
• Proven track record with self-employed and high-value clients
• Experience in proactive sales and business development in financial services
• Experience in stakeholder management and relationship building
• Willingness to travel within local market area

Responsibilities

• Provide an efficient point of contact for new and existing Consumer Clients
• Lead onsite selling to drive new business within the Local Market
• Identify and fulfill clients' banking needs efficiently and cost-effectively

Business Segment: Personal & Private Banking

To provide an efficient and effective point of contact for new and existing Consumer Clients within the Branch and through Proactive initiatives. To provide an onsite selling capability to lead sources and acquire new business within the relevant Local Market. To ensure that the clients' banking needs are identified and fulfilled efficiently and cost-effectively, while managing the risks associated with new accounts, mandates and specimen signatures.

Qualifications

Experience Required:

• Client Coverage
• 3-4 years of experience in Personal and Private Banking
• Proven track record in dealing with self-employed clients and high value/multi-segment clients
• Demonstrated success in proactive sales and business development within the financial services industry
• Experience in stakeholder management and relationship building

Skills and Competencies:

• In-depth knowledge of banking products and services
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in financial analysis and risk assessment
