Senior Analyst, Mining

Job Overview:
To execute the daily data collection, compilation and analysis that powers the contracted analytics services at the core of Vontier's end-to-end mining solutions. The role is the operational backbone of the analytics service delivery: ensuring the data underpinning customer‑facing insight is accurate, validated, reconciled on time, and free of unmanaged exceptions.
Mining customers rely on these analytics as a cornerstone of the solutions deployed to them, so the integrity, timeliness and defensibility of the data directly determine service quality and customer trust.
The role combines disciplined day‑to‑day execution with analytical rigour, identifying trends, managing exceptions, and producing reporting that turns raw operational data into reliable, actionable insight.

• Execute daily collection and compilation of operational data feeding the contracted analytics services.

Required Skills / Qualifications / Certifications / Tech Stack

Essential

• 4+ years in a data analyst, operations analyst or reporting analyst role, ideally in mining, industrial, telematics or data‑services contexts.
• Strong data‑handling, validation and reconciliation skills with high attention to accuracy.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (advanced Excel essential; SQL, Power BI or similar advantageous).
• Ability to identify, investigate and resolve data exceptions and anomalies.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to turn data into insight.
• Disciplined, deadline‑driven approach to recurring reconciliations and reporting.
• Clear communication skills for reporting findings to internal and customer stakeholders.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in data science, statistics, engineering, finance or a related quantitative field.
