Job summary

Novus Print: Paarden Eiland is seeking a Printers Electrician on a fixed term contract in the Technical and Maintenance department. The successful incumbent will report to the Workshop Foreman and perform electrical maintenance on FMCG equipment, including preventative maintenance, defect repairs, and safety checks.

Responsibilities include maintaining electrical systems, servicing air conditioners, and ensuring safe operation.

Qualifications

• Technical matric or equivalent qualification.
• Electrical Trade Test certificate through a recognized apprenticeship.
• Wireman's license (advantageous).
• 2–5 years' experience in electrical/electronic maintenance in FMCG.
• Knowledge of OH&S standards and electrical regulations.

• Preventative maintenance - lubrication, service checks, cleaning.
• Attend to defects raised on pre-start reports, breakdown sheets and over-inspection reports.
• Ensure the safe operation of equipment and report unsafe practices.
• Ensure job cards are closed related to safety checks.
• Conclude basic maintenance on air conditioners.
• Electrical maintenance such as fitting and repair of lights and plugs.
• Monitor safety devices after maintenance or ad hoc jobs.
• Investigate, diagnose and perform trade related maintenance and repair.
• Carry out scheduled and non-scheduled electrical repairs and installation as required.

Novus Print: Paarden Eiland is seeking to appoint an individual on a fixed term contract as a Printers Electrician within the Technical and Maintenance department. The successful incumbent will report to the Workshop Foreman.

• Preventative maintenance - lubrication, service checks, cleaning
• Attend to defects raised on pre-start reports, breakdown sheets and over-inspection reports.
• Ensure the safe operation of equipment and report unsafe practices.
• Ensure job cards are closed related to safety checks.
• Conclude basic maintenance on air conditioners.
• Housekeeping in electrical workshop
• Electrical maintenance such as fitting and repair of lights and plugs.
• Monitor and ensure safety devices are all functioning fully after completion of maintenance or ad hoc jobs
• Investigate, diagnose, and perform trade related maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery according to maintenance requirements.
• Carry out scheduled and non-scheduled electrical repairs and installation as required.

• 2 - 5 years' experience within an electrical/electronic maintenance environment is essential.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards, electrical regulations as well as applicable municipal by laws
• Knowledge of and exposure to fault finding and repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic equipment will be an advantage.
• The incumbent must have gained this exposure and knowledge in a FMCG environment in the following areas: Allen Bradley Plc, Sinamic drives, AC Drives, DC Drives Profibus, Serial Communications and experience working with contractors and suppliers

Must be willing to work shifts and overtime
