About the Role

Our client, a distinguished leader in the Mining industry, is seeking a highly experienced Principal Mine Environmental Scientist to join their dedicated team based in Sandton, Gauteng. This senior role is crucial for ensuring that all mining operations meet and exceed stringent environmental regulations and sustainability goals. The Principal Mine Environmental Scientist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive environmental management plans, conducting impact assessments, and driving initiatives to minimize the environmental footprint of mining activities. This position requires deep expertise in environmental science, regulatory compliance, and a proactive approach to sustainable mining practices. The hybrid work arrangement allows for strategic planning and reporting while maintaining essential on-site monitoring and liaison.

Key Responsibilities
