Placements24 is seeking a Principal Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead the engineering recruitment vertical from Tembisa, Gauteng. This senior role emphasizes strategic thinking, client partnerships, and mentoring a high-caliber team in a state-of-the-art facility.

Based in Gauteng with on-site requirements, you will design and implement innovative recruitment strategies, oversee end-to-end processes, and shape the future of engineering talent acquisition across multiple sectors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive recruitment experience, with at least 4 years in engineering recruitment.
• Proven leadership or principal-level experience.
• Track record of managing complex recruitment projects for demanding clients.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, civil and software engineering.
• Exceptional client management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with modern ATS and recruitment marketing platforms.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Tembisa, Gauteng, on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and execution of engineering recruitment initiatives across multiple industries.
• Develop and manage enduring partnerships with key engineering clients, acting as trusted advisor.
• Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes to ensure efficiency, quality and great candidate experience.
• Proactively identify and engage top-tier engineering talent through advanced sourcing methods.
• Conduct market analysis to provide clients with insights on talent availability and compensation trends.
• Mentor and develop a team of recruitment professionals focused on engineering.
• Drive continuous improvement in recruitment processes, tools and methodologies.
• Support business development by identifying new client opportunities in engineering sectors.
• Ensure compliance with recruitment regulations and best practices.
