Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Quality Control Mechanical Engineer for a client in Queenstown, South Africa. The role ensures manufactured mechanical components meet the highest standards of quality, performance and reliability.

You will develop and implement QC procedures, conduct inspections on raw materials, in-process parts and finished products, analyse data and drive CAPA actions in collaboration with production and engineering.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years in quality control or quality assurance within manufacturing.
• Proficiency with measurement tools and inspection equipment.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (ISO 9001).
• Knowledge of SPC techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control plans for mechanical manufacturing processes.
• Conduct regular inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Utilize metrology equipment to verify dimensional accuracy and conformity.
• Analyse quality data, identify trends, and implement CAPA actions.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues and improve processes.
• Maintain accurate quality records and prepare management reports.
