Job summary

Placements24 seeks a meticulous Quality Assurance Officer for a FMCG client in Queenstown, South Africa. You will establish and maintain QA protocols across the production cycle, from raw materials to finished products, ensuring safety, compliance, and brand integrity.

You will conduct audits, analyze quality data, and collaborate with production and R&D to implement improvements, while ensuring adherence to ISO 9001, HACCP, and other relevant standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field.
• 3+ years in quality assurance or quality control, preferably FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and HACCP.
• Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Auditing and process validation experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain quality assurance systems and procedures.
• Conduct inspections and audits of production processes, facilities, and finished products.
• Monitor quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with national and international quality and safety standards (HACCP, ISO).
• Collaborate with production and R&D to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
• Manage documentation related to QA activities.
